Maybe you heard me complaining about lag sometime?(cod:waw)
This is what it looks like for me, often much worse then this actually. Link
Can you see the lag or is it just me? Sometimes it looks like he is running with a rubber band around the legs.
If it is my computer, what part screws it up?
6GB Ram - Have no errors at all if i should trust memtest. 8800 GTS - Not so sure that this is the problem either, i have great fps, and playing single play on highest settings was no problem. Now i play on a lower resolution and low/medium settings and it still lags.
Core 2 Duo 6600 2.4GHz - Some guys said it could be processor-lag! I dont know, is this processor to weak for this game? Monitor (Asus VW222U) - No idea if the monitor can have something to do with this, never had any problems with games earlier. Harddrive - Can a harddrive that is crappy cause problems like this? I think my C-Drive is about to kill itself soon.
I cant say that i want to buy new parts without knowing whats wrong, when i do that i usually end up with a whole new computer and i don`t think i want that this time.

Stop drinking "spolarvätska" and your lag is gone
Haha!
Played 10 minutes a little while ago, i cant stand this shit. When i end up in close combat with someone i just let go of my mouse and keybord, no idea even trying to kill them when they warping around like morons.
I am one of the ping-fags that says that ping matters. This is just like when you first play on server 3 and then change to server 2...double ping and everybody lags like hell.
I just tried cod4 on server 3. Full resolution and settings, 30-35 ping and everything was perfect. Then i jumped over to cod:waw on server 4. Lower resolution and low on all settings, 50-70 ping and everything was warping heaven.
Some people say that you cant see any difference with pings that low, but im not so sure!
Sad but true, but i think i`ll have to wait for some great patches or...wait on cod 6.
I wouldnt expect COD 6 will be bugg-free. Frankly after playing couple fresh-released games recently, i m starting to believe developers release stuff without beta-testing, leaving this part for players

Dougal what os do you use??? my guess is a 64bit system bacause you have 6gb ram if you dont use a 64bit system remove 3gig of ram and try to play. and yes a old soon to be dead harddrive defenetly can cause problems

core 2 duo 6600 is 64bit as far as i know. Also his system wouldn't see additional ram if the cpu wasn't 64 bit. Probably it wouldn't even start up. I personally think it's the game itself tahts fckd up I see dumb people: they're everywhere. They dont even know they're dumb...

Hello dudes!
I have Vista 64bit as you guys guessed.
I dont know whats going on with my harddrive, about 3 times every hour it "stops/freezes" for a couple of seconds. I had that problem for quite some time now, even when i played cod4 and it didnt cause any lag there.
Is that a sign for a soon to be dead harddrive, i dont know?
Another reason i was thinking of is heatproblem, my graphic-card gets really warm from time to time.
78 degrees celcius when i play! It doesnt sound too warm, but maybe you guys know more about that. Maybe try out some new fans before i uninstall this game?
But i`m with Tom on this one, the game is effed up.

Tom i asked about the os not the hardware i run my duo 3,16 in a 32bit system so....
Dougal change hdd its a good start anyway , and about the fx card the temp isnt a problem even if its abit high (btw the 8800gts whit the g92 gpu series is known to be hot) as long as you dont get some artifacts and strange pixelfaults when you play and that would defenetly been shown in huuuge fps drops and freezes =P. dougal i remember you whined about lag in cod4 to

undie - 32bit system running on 64bit CPU wouldn't see additional ram chips (i think at least) - that's what I ment :-P
Dougal - my HDD does the same thing - maybe it's that? BTW - What's the temp of your chipset and CPU? GPU at 80 should be fine cose my 8800 GTX runs like that too so it must be a norm.
